
Background:
The Metro project is the largest infrastructure project currently being promoted in Israel, with an estimated value of approximately 150 billion shekels. The project is a core part of the mass transportation system in the Tel Aviv metropolitan area, which also includes light rail lines, BRT lines, shared transportation centers (Hub), and more. The project includes the planning of three underground metro lines (M1, M2, M3) with a total length of 150 km, which will pass through 24 municipalities, 110 underground stations, and is expected to handle around 450 million trips annually.
The Case:
BLK was selected through a tender to serve as the financial consultant for NTA and supports the project in intricate tendering processes, budget management, strategic decision-making, and various operational procedures.
Work Process:
BLK is involved continuously in advising and managing the project in collaboration with NTA. This includes developing Main budget estimates, providing ongoing guidance for the tendering processes related to both financial and strategic aspects, managing the ongoing cash flow, and working on the procurement strategy.
The work is carried out in cooperation with NTA, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Transportation, Network manager, Line Managers, and all other necessary professional levels involved.
